6 days of mindfulness meditations: free meditation program

When it comes to creating and sustaining a meditation practice I’ve found that the key is not to force it. If you have this preconceived idea that, in order to meditate you need a clear space, a meditation cushion, some sage and mala beads you are mistaken. Meditation can look like this. It can also look like, taking a few 3 intentional breaths and relaxing your shoulders before you enter an important meeting. It can look like, gazing on a single spot on the floor when you feel overwhelmed by crowds at a festival. It can look like, closing your eyes and listening to the sounds on a busy train when you’re exhausted.

This 6 day program of daily mindfulness meditations is free. And you’re welcome to come back to listening to these videos any time you want, if guided meditation is what you need. But what I really hope you will gain from these recorded meditations are the tools to practice mindfulness in your every day life, so that meditation becomes a seamless extension of yourself.

6 DAYS OF MINDFULNESS MEDITATION

DAY ONE: GROUNDING MEDITATION ON THE BREATH

This is a 10 minute guided meditation to help bring you back to the present by drawing attention the the breath. A helpful way to step away from moments of business when you're feeling overwhelmed.

 

DAY TWO: BODY SCAN MEDITATION

We are reliant on our bodies for everything! We expect them, without question, to take us to the grocery store, play football with our kids, turn the pages of our books and tap at our cellphones. So this 10 minute meditation is opportunity to check below the hood and see how you are actually feeling. It’s time to give your body some attention.

 

DAY THREE: MINDFUL MEDITATION ON SOUND

Get grounded with this 10 minute meditation where we tune into the sounds around us and, in so doing, step away from the hustle and bustle of our busy minds.

 

DAY FOUR: MEDITATION ON SPACE

When you buy a new car you have to learn how much space it takes up on the road or in your driveway in order to use it well, and this is just the same thing. It’s important to understand and feel confident living in the space you create for yourself. This guided meditation will help you do just that.

 

DAY FIVE: MEDITATION ON THE BREATH & THE BODY

This guided meditation draws attention to the powerful link between the breath and the body, helping you become more present and aware. It's also a helpful meditation to ground you when you are feeling overwhelmed.

 

DAY SIX: MANTRA MEDITATION

A ten minute guided mantra meditation to help you connect to your inherent power and a deeper sense of peace.
