2019 Mid-Year Check In

WOW. Anyone else still in shock that Summer solstice has come and gone? The passing of time gets faster and stranger as I get older, and it makes me appreciate every moment even more. I understand how deeply precious time is and how we choose to spend our time. So firstly I want to say thank you, for choosing to spend your valuable time with me; whether you are just reading this blog, practising with me online or attending my classes or retreats, I see you and I am grateful you are here.

Around this time of year I always love to slow time down a bit and look back over some of the highlights; it’s a great reminder of how much you can accomplish when you put your mind to it, and oh boy have I put my mind, my heart and my time to work these last six months!

1. THE FIRST WILD RETREAT TO ICELAND

Now, I won’t say it went off without a hitch, but it was certainly better than I ever thought it would be. I learned lessons in a gentle way, got to work alongside my husband with only like, 3 real fights (yay :D), and met incredible people! Bonus; The Northern Lights. It was epic and you can watch a recap video here.

2. THE YOGA FOR BEGINNERS SERIES LAUNCH

This was such hard work, and a dream to be able to put it out into the world! It was my priority when I became a yoga teacher to make sure that people who wanted to start yoga had easy access to this kind of resource; aN approachable, and totally flexible program that would deliver real results. The course has had over 200 sign ups so far!

3. YOGA STRONG

Building strength in yoga has been a HUGE part of my journey to feeling confident on my mat and off! So when I released this course I was A. terrified and B. THRILLED to be able share such an important part of my own yoga practice with the world. 4. NAMASLAY YTT 200HR

In April I was asked to join the Namaslay Yoga Teacher Training program to teach Yin Yoga, meridian theory, lead self enquiry workshops and teach Asana. The Namaslay people are my people; they are hard working, genuine folks with a real commitment to improving the quality of people’s lives. It was an honour to join their team, and to meet the incredibly hard working and inspiring students who are now out in the world making it a better place. If you are looking to sign up for a yoga teacher training program they have a few options coming up that you should definitely check out!

5. A NEW HOUSE

Last but certainly not least, Ali and I picked up the keys for our first home! It’s a 3 bedroom house on the outskirts of Bristol and we are hard at work transforming it from a something old and unloved into a light, and stunning new home. Read Part One of our renovation story here - more to come!
